Your family, not a map.
BRYKK's home screen is now the Family page. Each person is a small living scene of where they are, with the time and the weather there. Whoever is driving rides live. What's coming up sits on top. Old locations say so honestly, and an emergency takes over the whole page.
The tour shows the next iPhone update, on TestFlight now, with a sample family. It has no sound; the transcript is under the video.
What the tour shows (transcript)
- 0:00 Your family, at a glance. The Family page for a sample family on a Tuesday afternoon. Mom is driving home on I-35 at 62 mph and arrives at 2:45 PM. Below her: Ava's 3:15 pickup, You at home since 12:30 PM, and Ava at school.
- 0:05 Tap someone to see their day. Ava's page: settled at School since 7:52 AM, with Message, Call, Directions and Alerts, and her day so far.
- 0:10 Follow a drive live. Mom's page while she drives: 62 mph on I-35 S, heading home, four minutes away, location updated just now.
- 0:16 Replay any trip as a story. Mom's drive from Work plays back as scenes: merging onto I-35 S, the exit to Maple Ave, the turn onto Elm St, pulling into the driveway. 10.7 miles, 14 minutes, top speed 64 mph, with Exact route, Share and Classic replay (map).
- 0:26 Take a pickup with one tap. A tap on “I'll take it” turns the 3:15 pickup into “You · Pick up Ava”, and the family sees you've got it.
- 0:33 Check in with one tap. Family check-in sends a quick status without typing: All good here, On my way, Running late, or Made it safely.
- 0:41 Hold SOS to alert everyone. Holding the SOS button alerts the whole family. In the sample family nothing is sent.
- 0:50 No accounts. Just family.. BRYKK. Download on the App Store.
A busy evening
The person driving goes first and rides live: the real road, their speed and when they'll get there. Tap to follow along. That's free.
Above that is what's coming up for you, from the family calendar and written for you: “You pick up Ava · 7:00” (the calendar is part of BRYKK Life). Then everyone else, each in the scene where they are right now.

Everyone's home
People in the same place share one scene: one home, one scene, everyone's name on it. It's your house tonight, in tonight's weather, dressed for the season.
Anything new since you last looked gets a small NEW tag, and the scene plays the arrival once.

Hold any card
Tap a card to open their page. Hold it for quick actions: Message, Call, Ask for a fresh location, their alerts, and Exact spot, which gives the place and the address in words.
Navigate hands off to Apple or Google Maps, so the only map is the one you already use.

SOS takes over
An emergency replaces the scenes. The page shows where she is in plain words, how accurate and how fresh that is, a big Call, Navigate, “I'm on my way” and Call 911.
A detected crash uses the same card. It stays until she or you mark her safe. How SOS works.
Honest when it's quiet
An old location never pretends to be live. Live means under two minutes; up to thirty, it says how old. After that the scene fades and says when and where they were last seen, the likely reason, and offers Ask.
When a phone setting stops someone sharing, the page names the problem and how to fix it.

Still like the map?
Turn on Classic map in Settings → Tab bar → Family Tab. It works exactly as before, radar included.
Classic map guide →Trips told as stories
Any past drive replays as about 15 seconds of story: each real road with its name and speed, any stops, then arriving. Exact route writes it out in words, and Classic replay (map) is one tap away. Replays are part of BRYKK Life.
Trip replay guide →Weather where they are
Every scene shows the real weather at that person's location. Severe NWS alerts are checked while BRYKK is open; alerts with the app closed are coming soon.
Weather guide →See your family the new way.
The Family page is on iPhone in TestFlight now and comes to everyone with the next App Store update. Android shares the same family and gets the Family page next.
