What's on top
The page always sorts itself the same way, so the most important thing is first:
- SOS or a crash takes over the whole page.
- Anyone driving or on the move gets a live card that rides along: the road, their speed and when they'll get there.
- Coming up for you, from the family calendar, for the next three hours, written from your side (“You pick up Ava · 7:00”). The calendar and leave-by times are part of BRYKK Life.
- Something new since you last looked, tagged NEW · 8:02. The scene plays the arrival once.
- Everyone settled, grouped by place, Home first. People in the same place share one scene with everyone's name on it.
- Old locations and problems, as quiet rows at the bottom.
Reading a card
- The scene is the real kind of place (home, school, gym, store, a street), at the time and in the weather there, moving gently.
- One chip says the state: LIVE, AT HOME · 2 HR, STOPPED 4 MIN, TOGETHER or LAST SEEN 1 HR AGO.
- One line in plain words. BRYKK uses names, never pronouns, and your own card says “You”.
- Battery shows only under 20%. Speed shows only while driving.

Honest when it's quiet
An old location never pretends to be live:
- Live means the location is under 2 minutes old.
- Up to 30 minutes, the card says how old it is: “updated 6 min ago”.
- After that the scene fades and says when and where they were last seen, names the likely reason when the phone tells us (off, no signal, a setting), and offers Ask.
- BRYKK never says “At Work” while someone is driving, and never guesses a road.
- A private place shows to others as “Out”, never by name.
SOS or a crash takes over
An emergency replaces the scenes. The card shows where they are in plain words, how accurate and how fresh that is, a big Call, Navigate (Apple or Google Maps), I'm on my way (tells them and the family), and Call 911. A detected crash uses the same card. It stays until they or you mark them safe; everyone else shrinks to one line each. See SOS & Impact Detection.
No map, still safe
The tabs are Family · Today · Messages, and the SOS button sits just above them on every Family page; hold it to send. When you need the precise location, hold a card and choose Exact spot: the place name and address in words, then Navigate hands off to your maps app.
