BRYKK Local Privacy Policy

Effective July 23, 2026 · Applies to the BRYKK Local iOS app and brykk.app marketplace pages (including the BRYKK Local Pro business portal)

What we collect

• Account: your email address, display name, and a securely hashed password.
• Listings: titles, descriptions, photos you upload, and a location for each listing. The exact location is stored privately; other users only ever see an approximate area label and a map circle covering roughly a half-mile.
• Messages: conversations you have with other users about listings, including photos you attach.
• Device location: used, with your permission, to show nearby listings and suggest safe meetup spots. Live location during a meetup is shared only if you explicitly start or join a live meetup session, and is deleted when the session ends.
• Push token: so we can notify you about messages and meetups. No advertising identifiers, no tracking across other apps.
• Business billing (BRYKK Local Pro only): if you subscribe as a business, your payment card is collected and charged by Stripe, our payment processor. Your full card number is handled by Stripe and is never seen or stored by BRYKK — we keep only a Stripe customer/subscription reference and your business details.

How we use it

To run the marketplace: showing listings to nearby neighbors, delivering messages and notifications, powering safe meetups, preventing fraud and abuse, and keeping the community moderated. That's it.

What we never do

• We never sell your data.
• We never show anyone your exact home or listing location — you choose where to meet.
• We never share your email or phone number with other users.
• We never use your precise location for advertising.

Who touches your data

Trusted infrastructure providers process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Upstash (caching), Resend (email), Apple (push notifications), and Stripe (payment processing for BRYKK Local Pro business subscriptions). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. Stripe processes your card under Stripe's privacy policy.

Moderation

Reported listings and messages are reviewed by a human. Content removed by moderation may be retained briefly for safety and legal purposes.

Deleting your data

Delete your account any time in the app (You → Settings → Delete my account). This permanently removes your account, listings, messages, and saves. Uploaded photos are removed from public access.

Age

BRYKK Local is for users 18 and older.
